Can You Hear Us? derives from the protest chant "Can you see us? Can you hear us? Can you feel us?".

The event aims to give a platform to poets with stories related to the 2020 Uprising, particularly poets of color. Aligned with our theme for this year, "We Will Heal Us," this event aims to heal and to empower through giving community members a platform to tell their stories and by building community through art. An additional plus— pizza will be provided before the event! We are proud to be partnering with the national arts organization Button Poetry for this event.
